Honestly, I can't think of any hugely unique tradition that we have. Laure already posted about New Year's Eve, but that's the most unique one I can think of, so you're getting it twice.
Every year the Hittle & Barbee clans get together on New Year's Eve for food, fun and fire! The fire is in the form of sparklers at midnight. I think it was in 2007/08 that it was snowing like crazy outside... to the point where we couldn't get the sparklers to light until Dad brought out his blow torch! Hehe!
Speaking of New Year's, I just remembered how one year, Mom took us down to my grandparents' house at midnight and we played our pots & pans loudly outside their bedroom window! Gotta love obnoxious grandkids, I'm sure! :)
