Wow! You seriously want me to pick one? Not gonna happen. Instead, I'm picking a series. I LOVE the Ramona Quimby books. She's spunky, real, sometimes naughty, but has a good heart. She learns from her mistakes and has to take the consequences for misbehaving. She gets upset, but is respectful toward adults. I look forward to reading them with Alicia someday.
Some people have called Junie B. Jones the next Ramona. I find that insulting to Beverly Cleary. Junie is a rude little girl with atrocious grammar skills and the books are not well written. :)
