My Little Butterfly

Looking at these pictures, you wouldn't guess that she was crying and screaming and almost tantrum-ed herself right out of Trick or Treating, would you? After a rough start, we had a lot of fun this year! Grandma H. made the skirt for a princess dress up set for her birthday. And the flower crown was from her princess dress up clothes, too. Actually, the original plan was for her to be a princess, but Alicia wasn't going for it. So we talked her into being a butterfly!

This first one is Alicia at the Times where we went to visit Aunt Becca. Alicia loved the fountain.

Alicia also enjoyed the bag that Mama & Papa's gift came in. At first she said that she was scared of the pictures on it. But after I told her that they were pretend and just wanted to play like they were scaring her, Alicia decided that her goodie bag was fun to scare people with. She'd pull it out, shout "BOO!" and laugh. Then she'd explain, "It's ok, it's just pretend!" TOOO funny!

Alicia was thrilled to help Miss Linda out at the library by taking her candy!

And then she had to give one last hug to the library's little witch.

I think that our butterfly had a good time & now she can wear her wings freely around the house without worrying about whether she smashes them too badly!

Seriously, that witch was so crazy for the couple weeks it was out. I kept catching it out of the corner of my eye & thinking it was a kid standing there... not good when you're turning off lights to close and think, oh no! There's a kid here!
