Thankful...

I started writing this post and was feeling whiny and complainy. Ummm... I don't think that's actually a word, but since it's my blog, I'll go with it! :) So, I decided I need to nip that in the bud right now! Instead, let's join the current trend of sharing things I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for my own little apartment. I'll always be thankful and grateful that Mom and Dad gave us a place to live for 4 years when we couldn't do it. But it's so nice to have our our place again. And for Mom and Dad to get to be Grandma and Grandpa for the girls.Yep! Life is good. :)

It's time...

Time for a change... Yep! Giving the blog a new look today. I liked the pretty flowers, but this is fun, too.

Time to start this baby up again! It's been an awfully long time since I posted on it. Will I really do the post every day thing? Maybe? Regardless, this is a good place to capture those random thoughts and give me an outlet.

So, here we go! And now, it's time for some crafty fun! :)

Another New Goal...

8) Find the Christmas cards so I can mail them... ooops!

Saturday, December 10, 2011

It's Saturday!

So, here's where I stand on those goals....

1) I need to pick up pictures. Then it's a quick dash to the end. :)

2) We're getting there. I talked to the other moms and I think we're in good shape.

3) Ummmm, it's still 2 weeks till Christmas, right?

4) Done! The scanned PDF version should be in Stephanie's inbox waiting for her when she opens her email on Monday. :)

5) Done! I turned one in on Wednesday night and the other on Thursday night. :)

6) Done! I turned it in by 9pm Friday night. The semester is over! :)

New goal:
7) Get Christmas cards mailed by Wednesday.

The end is near!

The end of the year, that is... and my birthday will soon follow. My sister does a birthday list every year. I tried that one year, you might remember... and failed miserably. Maybe I'll revisit that in January, but let's not get crazy and actually hope for that, ok? She has, this evening, inspired me to create a little list of goals for the rest of the year, though. Nothing big and amazing... just some things I'd like to get done.

1) Finish the Christmas project that I've started by December 15. It would be fantabulous to not have to worry about it any closer to Christmas.
2) Get Alicia's school Christmas party organized and give her and her classmates a good hour.
3) Get living room organized. Just enough so I don't have to cringe if someone comes downstairs will suffice. But I'm going for more.
4) Send in my Application for Graduation (that really needs to be read in one of those cheesy commercial announcement voices) so I can graduate in May!
5) Get both final projects submitted on time this week.
6) Submit my responses to the Powerpoints for my AV class by Friday. (It's not due until Sunday, but why waste time on a perfectly good weekend?)

Ok... I know there's more I need to do, but I'm tired and need to think about bed. Doctor appointment for Alicia in the morning.

Fellowship

Wow... there's a word I don't use much. We had a potluck lunch today at church. It was a lot of fun. It happened to work out really well, too. Alicia has made a new little friend in Powerhouse (children's church). Wayne happened to be chatting with that friend's dad before we went in to sit down. And I enjoy chatting with the mom/wife. So, except for an overly tired baby, it was a nice meal. Samantha, unfortunately, thought it was a good time to meltdown. Poor thing!

Last Weekend

I need to be working on homework right now... and I'll be there soon. This is the last weekend this year that I'll spend doing homework! Woohoo!

This is the semester that I'll be so glad to see end! :) And then... it's only 5 months and 10 days until graduation!
